Onsite ChilDcare

KIS Childminding is a free, structured program that follows preschool guidelines, providing quality care and support for children aged 0-6. We provide drop-in services and full-time registered spots for children while their parents attend language classes, settlement workshops and access on-sight services.

The Childminding Program is licensed by the Interior Health Authority and our dedicated staff are all qualified early childhood educators. Program activities are based on a learning model which supports language development, pre-reading skills, cognitive, social and emotional development. Children enjoy learning, making friends, participating in age appropriate activities and have access to an outdoor play area in a safe and supervised environment. Our program allows parents and children to be in the same place, while achieving individualized goals.

Our program helps newcomer families to successfully transition and navigate Canadian culture, school systems and common parenting concerns, we also offer programs such as:

Zoom Kids Play  (Register)

Park Pop Up (Temporarily Closed)

Comfort, Play, Teach (Temporarily Closed)

Parenting in Canada Program (Register)

Immigrant Parents As Literacy Supporters  (iPals) (Register)
